A global campaign that originated as a zine publication and has ultimately transversed into multiple different mediums and formats. It features the stories of talented, creative womxn who are navigating their own careers and journeys in New York, Montreal, San Francisco, Barcelona, Moscow, and beyond.
Challenge
Ladies Who Create originated as an elevated way to recruit womxn creatives to Dropbox. Having held numerous events of the course of two years and building a closely knit community of creative professionals, we decided to give back and connect with our community a bit more, especially in 2020 when we all needed to connect with our communities even more.
Goals
Building out an edgy, vibrant and extensible design system that translates Dropbox’s refreshed identity for this community event that is aimed at bringing together people from the design community to inspire, delight, and engage the creative community.
Process
Being very passionate about women’s equality and having worked on the Ladies Who Create identity system, this project was a way to extend the boundaries of Ladies Who Create, and connect with our community especially during the uncertainty of 2020. What started as an editorial project ended up becoming a well-rounded and holistic campaign that spanned both print and digital mediums.
